‘You’re overthinking it,’ Iona said as Baron failed for the hundredth time to do even the most basic poi maneuver.

He let the weights drop out of his hands in frustration. Molly, meanwhile, was spinning the damn things as though she’d been born with a poi in each hand.

‘You know,’ Baron said quietly to Iona, ‘I’m starting to think that maybe poi isn’t my calling.’

She smiled. ‘It’s OK to admit that. Maybe you’d like to book a trapeze class? With your build it c—’

‘Thank you, but no. I’ll stick to bikes and bending molten metal. Glad to see that Molly’s enjoying it, though.’

And she was. It was clear to see from her wide grin that Molly was having an amazing time. That was the main thing. Obviously, he hadn’t organized this date for himself. It was all about her.

As he watched her spinning those poi, his mind wandered to what Rainer had said about the raid. Seemed like plans were being made. Normally, he’d be involved in the planning stages of something like this, but right now, it felt as though the most important thing was to be with Molly.

Of course, when the call came, and it was time to act, he had no choice but to answer. To a MC member, there was nothing more important than loyalty to the club, and supporting his brothers. But for right now, Molly was everything.

‘Yes!’ she squealed, pulling off a complex weave.

Baron had to admit that there was something magical about the way the things moved. He also couldn’t help but notice that they could definitely be used for impact play. He imagined striking Molly’s peachy ass with one of those things, seeing it redden and quiver.

Don’t get a hard-on now, Baron, you’ll get the poi tangled around it!

‘You’re doing great,’ he said to Molly, as she kept spinning, round and round like a dancer.
